We recently returned from this year's Green Lakes gathering. Let's say it was a more intimate affair than last year's offering, but it did feature live entertainment!

Jane Morale (Ago '80) and Glen Zagorski (Psi Phi '87) regale the attendees at this year's Green Lakes gathering
It was another nice July Saturday at the park and a good chance to reconnect with old brothers and sisters and college friends, but the turnout was quite light. In talking with those that did attend, there were a few possible reasons given: lack of publicity and timing of the event were among the likely culprits. Maybe too close to the Potsdam reunion, and a potential conflict with Harbor Fest contributed.
Whatever the reasons, those that did attend were treated to live music from Jane Morale and Glen Zagorski, and a cool summer afternoon that was a welcome break from the summer heat wave. AXP, Zeta, Phi K, Ago, OPiO and Psi Phi were represented, as well as BT in the form of a park ranger that stopped by to say hi.
I do want to thank those who came out to the park, and especially those that contributed to the cost of the pavilion rental. We came out in the red again this year, but at least got closer to covering costs.
There was a suggestion to move the event to the fall next year (rental fees are lower, no park entrance fees after Labor Day, and perhaps fewer conflicts with other summer events), so stay tuned as those plans develop.
